Welcome to Junior Giants Baseball!

  

Did you know Junior Giants:

• Is free!
• Is noncompetitive
• Offers coed baseball for children ages 5-18. And new this year, softball ages 7-9 years.
• Is more than just baseball and softball; players participate in character development, education, health and bullying prevention programs throughout the 8 week season

 About Junior Giants Baseball

 

Junior Giants is a free, noncompetitive, coed baseball program youth ages 5-18. Working together with local agencies, families and volunteers, Junior Giants reaches into communities and offers youth a chance to learn the basics of baseball during the summer while also discovering the importance of essential life skills.

Entering its 25th season, Junior Giants annually serves over 25,000 participants in nearly 90 leagues. Junior Giants is more than just baseball and offers several distinct programs to further enrich a player’s experience. Players learn the Junior Giants Four Bases of Character Development: Confidence, Integrity, Leadership and Teamwork, as well as the importance of Education, Health and Bullying Prevention.

 

2018 Registration Information

 Online Registration Period:

    April 1, 2018 - May 15, 2018

 

  Assisted In-Person Registration:

    Lodi Public Library – 201 W. Locust Street, Lodi, CA

  • Thursday, April 12th, 4:30-7:30pm (Se Habla Español)
  • Thursday, April 19th, 4:30-7:30pm (Se Habla Español)

 

 2018 Season Important Dates:

  • First Pitch Meeting (orientation):      Tuesday, May 29th 6-7pm, Hutchins Street Square (Charlene Lange Theater).
  • Coach/Team Parent Meeting:           Tuesday, May 29th 7- 8pm, Hutchins Street Square (Charlene Lange Theater).
  • Fundamental of Baseball Clinic:        Saturday, June 9th 10:00am - 12:00pm (ages 7-18).
  • Week One Starts:                            Monday, June 11th
  • Opening Day Ceremony:                  Saturday, June 16th 9:00am – 12:00pm (Lodi Grape Bowl).
  • Weekly Schedule:                            One practice and one game per week, per team. Monday through Friday (No Weekends). Start Times: 5:30pm & 7:00pm. 5:45 for Lodi T-ball.

 

 Registration:

  • Computers are available in the Lodi Public Library during the entire registration period.
  • In-person assisted registration is available (see dates above)
  • New users click Log In (above right) then click Create an Account.
  • New users. If you do not have an email address to use when creating an account contact the League Commissioner. See "Contact Us" below. 
  • Returning users click Log In (above right) and use your log in account from your previous season in which you participated.
  • Following your successful registration you will receive an email containing your registration receipt and important dates. As well as links for Coach Team Parent information.
  • During the registration process you will have an opportunity to register as Coach, Team Parent or Volunteer.
  • During the registration process you will have an opportunity to address scheduling conflicts.

 

Registration Notes

Your Account:

All families will be required to create an account the first time logging into our system. Please add all family members, youth and adults, by choosing the “add children” or “add adult” options (alternate contact information such as phone numbers and emails can be added when another adult is added to the account). Youth not wishing to play but would like to assist can be added into "Volunteer", "League/Team Assistant", "Assistant Coach" or "Student Assistant" roles.

If you registering multiple players or adults, please register them all at the same time. To do this, after completing one registration click the continue shopping button to register another player and/or adult.

 

Communication:

Please use an email address you check frequently as important notifications regarding Junior Giants will be sent to the email address you register with. If you do not have an email address we suggest you create a Gmail account for Junior Giants communications.

 

Volunteers Needed!

Parents are needed to volunteer as a coach, assistant coach or team parent.

Youth interested in volunteering to earn community service credit for high school or just for the experience are needed as either team or league assistants, or as Assistant Coaches.

Please complete the registration process for the volunteer role that interests you.

All ADULT volunteers are required to register for a background check.
